This comes down to FDA labeling rules, not a packaging error. We're required to label by net weight , which is the actual amount of product, not by the physical size of the jar.

Every tallow comes in Regular or Large. Regular is a 4 oz jar, Large is an 8 oz jar, across both our Whipped Tallow and Tallow Balm.

The one thing to know: we whip air into our Whipped Tallow to create that light, fluffy texture, which means its net weight is lower than the jar size, while Balm isn't aerated and matches its jar size exactly. Either way, you're getting the full amount of tallow you paid for. Whipping changes the texture, not the value.

We always recommend consulting your doctor before adding any new skincare product during pregnancy. That said, all of our products are natural, contain no known hormone-disrupters, and should be considered safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding.

This happens most often with new tubes, especially after cold-weather transit. To open it for the first time: hold the tip of the tube steady with one hand, and slowly twist the bottom clockwise with the other. If you twist too far, just turn it back the other way.

Keep it somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight — a bathroom cabinet or bedroom shelf is perfect. Extreme heat can cause melting and re-solidifying, which is the biggest driver of texture changes like graininess.

Serum first, tallow second. Apply your serum to clean, slightly damp skin and let it absorb for a moment, then follow with a small amount of tallow to seal everything in. Think of the serum as delivering the active ingredients, and the tallow as locking in that hydration.
