How to Use Fresh Citrus Burst

  1. Cleanse

    Apply to clean, damp skin, right after washing while your skin still has moisture on it. Our tallow seals that water into your skin rather than just sitting on top.

  2. Scoop

    Warm a small amount between your fingertips and press gently into your face, hands, or anywhere your skin needs repair. A little goes a long way.

  3. Apply

    Use once or twice daily, on its own or as the final step in your skincare routine to lock everything in. 

Allow 1-2 weeks for your skin to adjust, especially if you're transitioning from conventional moisturizers. Tallow works with your skin's biology, not against it, so give your barrier time to recalibrate.

  • In the morning: Cleanse, apply your toners and serums, then press a small amount of Fresh Citrus Burst into damp skin. It absorbs quickly and layers well under makeup.
  • At night: Follow your full routine and finish with Fresh Citrus Burst to seal it all in while your skin repairs overnight.

They use the same ingredients — the difference is texture and how your skin wears them. The whipped is light and fluffy, absorbs quickly, and works well for everyday use, under makeup, or if you have oilier skin. The balm is smoother and more concentrated. It's deeply protective and ideal for very dry areas, nighttime use, or body application. A lot of our customers use the whipped in the morning and the balm at night to get the best of both.

Not all tallow is the same. Suet is the fat that surrounds the kidneys and organs, and it has a higher concentration of fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K and a richer nutrient profile than fat rendered from other parts of the animal. It's also the closest match to the lipids in human skin, which is why it absorbs so well and supports your skin's natural barrier.

Yes. Fresh Citrus Burst has only seven ingredients, all organic or naturally derived, with no synthetic fragrances, preservatives, or fillers. Tallow is one of the most biocompatible fats you can put on your skin because its fatty acid structure is so similar to your own. That said, we always recommend a small patch test if you have reactive skin — apply a small amount to the inside of your wrist and wait 24 hours.
